and isnt it funny, how, when dealin w hetero cis-dudes, so much of the time its only looking back that you realize that so much of what goes wrong is often due to sexism? but we’re programmed to see it as normal or not know how to identify it all so we dont ever get to the root of the fucked up power dynamics that occured? sexism bleeds into just about every interaction and creates problems if it doesnt just make it way worse.
most of the time it just FEELS wrong to you, it FEELS unjust but youre made to feel you have no idea wtf youre talking about, imagining things, overreacting, or that its just how it is, suck it up, and you have no way to articulate it and its only afterwards that you can pinpoint it like “that sexist motherfucker!!!!”
then again i have found myself doing that about race too.
